1 1st Technician (temporary) of the Sustainable Blue Economy Area

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of the Sustainable Blue Economy area and the Green Transition Subdirectorate, it will carry out monitoring, justification and certification work related to Fundación Biodiversidad’s status as an Intermediate Management Body (IMB) of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF).

  • Economic and budgetary management: to assist the coordinator in proposing actions, planning and monitoring the economic execution based on the planned objectives.
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of internal and external procedures and documents inherent to the management as FEMPA OIG.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of calls for grants and tenders.
  • Support in the training given to beneficiaries, especially in aspects related to budget execution and justification of projects.
  • Support in the economic monitoring of applications, projects co-financed through calls for proposals and FB’s own projects, if any, in accordance with the rules of eligibility of expenditure and for the technical achievement of objectives.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of the economic aspects and achievement of indicators in the grant applications submitted to the Program.
  • Preparation of cost statements and economic reports for monitoring the Program.
  • Settlement and certification of expenses of the co-financed projects and within the measure of technical assistance to the European Commission and participation in the audits and controls to which the BF is subjected by the different authorities participating in the FEMPA.
  • Support in the preparation of economic manuals and guides for internal and external use.
  • Recording of economic information in the FEMP/FEMPA management tools.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Head, Coordination or Sub-Directorate.
  • University degree (formerly Diploma and Bachelor’s degree) in the area of Economics and/or Political Science.
  • Postgraduate studies in subjects related to public administration management: legal and economic framework.
  • At least three years of experience in the management, follow-up and economic control of projects related to the environmental or fishing sector.
  • At least three years of experience in third sector entities or in the public sector.
  • Complementary training in project management.
  • At least three years of experience in the management of European Structural and Investment Funds grants.
  • Temporary fixed-term contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with professional category of 1st Technician.
  • Gross Annual Salary: 30.690,77 €.
  • Job location: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Expected duration: seven years.
