Board of Directors

The Board of Trustees is the governing, representative and administrative body of the Fundación Biodiversidad. Under the Presidency of the Third Vice President of the Government and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, it has representatives from different institutions of the Spanish Government in the field of nature conservation.

  • Mr. Miguel Ángel González Suela. Undersecretary for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
  • Mr. Francesc Xavier Boya. Secretary General for the Demographic Challenge of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
  • Mrs. María Jesús Rodríguez de Sancho. General Director of Biodiversity, Forests and Desertification.
  • Mrs. Ana María Oñoro Valenciano. General Director of Coastal and Marine Sustainability of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.

  • Mr. Javier Tomás Ruiz Segura. Director of the Spanish Institute of Oceanography of the National Center of the Higher Council for Scientific Research, dependent on the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
  • Mr. Antonio Vercher Noguera. Prosecutor of the Coordinating Prosecutor's Office for Environment and Urbanism.
  • Mr. Clemente García Barrios. Chief of the Nature Service of the Guardia Civil.

Advisory Board

The Advisory Council is made up of 15 experts from various fields and sectors, related to the purposes and principles of action of the Fundación Biodiversidad. Its functions are to consult and advise, in order to enrich the Foundation's activity.
