PROJECT TITLE: Actions to improve the degree and conditions of employability in the area of active salt mines in the Natura 2000 Network and influence located on the coast of the autonomous communities of Andalusia, Murcia and the Canary Islands. Salinas and sustainable employment II.
OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to improve the sustainability linked to the salt flats, promoting the integration of biodiversity in management, the potential of the blue economy, transition to a low-carbon economy and more efficient use of natural resources in the Natura 2000 Network.
DESCRIPTION: The aim is to support coastal salt workers, improve their adaptation to the labor market and increase their skills in the areas demanded by the transition to a blue economy. The aim is to adapt qualifications to the needs of the labor market, as well as to improve their contractual situation in order to guarantee the maintenance of employment, allow professional progression, while conserving these sites, linked to the Natura 2000 Network or their areas of influence. Training and counseling actions are planned to increase competencies in this regard.
The project encompasses various topics, such as biodiversity and protected areas, energy and water savings and efficiency, renewable energies, sustainable tourism, sustainable aquaculture and fishing, decent employment, circular economy, etc.
