OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to improve the knowledge of entrepreneurs and employees in the tourism sector about sustainable tourism, providing strategies and tools to improve the sustainability of a tourism destination/company, and giving examples of good practices.
DESCRIPTION: The project is aimed at tourism entrepreneurs in Natura Network areas interested in improving their sustainability performance and accessing this interesting market niche. At the same time, it is useful for workers who orient their work towards this segment of the tourism industry.
The project aims to inform, train and advise on the principles of sustainable tourism, which can be translated into management practices that are applicable to all types of businesses in any rural tourism destination. The purpose of these principles is to minimize the negative impacts and maximize the benefits of tourism activities on the sociocultural, environmental and business environment. The project consists of: Distance and blended training; face-to-face and blended counseling; and social innovation actions.
