Fish-recycle: supporting the fishing industry’s transition to a circular economy

OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to train and advise workers in the fishing sector in the collection and management of marine garbage to improve environmental conservation, as well as in circular economy models for the sustainable diversification of fishing activities within the framework of the blue economy.

DESCRIPTION: The project will focus on training and advising workers who practice the most representative fishing gears of the Spanish sector: trawling, longline, purse seine and minor gears. The proposal is aligned with different public policies focused on boosting competitiveness, creating jobs and generating sustainable growth.
