DESCRIPTION: This project runs from 1 November 2018 to 31 October 2019 and consists of 4 free training actions aimed at more than a hundred unemployed people from Galicia, Asturias and the Community of Madrid who will receive practical training91a on forest management to expand their professional qualities. as well as access to the labor market.
In Galicia and Asturias, two on-site training courses will be held on forestry work and harvesting, both from the point of view of occupational risk prevention in the use of specific machinery and tools, as well as from the environmental point of view. This includes good practices in the handling and management of waste, in addition to receiving basic notions of habitats, species and cultural heritage. In particular, the values of the protected natural areas of the Natura 2000 Network will be discussed, as well as the particularities of their forest management.
The mixed training courses in Galicia and Madrid will be focused on the transmission of knowledge to unemployed people and potential workers or workers in the wood industry sector. The contents will include FSC chain of custody certification and will delve into the national and international market, as well as professional opportunities related to the value chains of certified forest products, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, low carbon economy and circular economy.
