Extended term – 1 Coordinator (temporary) of the Legal Area of Grants and European Funds

To lead a newly created area in the Fundación Biodiversidad (FB) that participates and provides legal advice in the calls for grants and subsidies assigned to the area under the strategic guidance of the Directorate and the supervision of the Legal, Financial and Human Capital Sub-Directorate.

  • Coordination and legal and administrative processing corresponding to the calls for aid assigned to the area.
  • Leading the procedures related to subsidies: drafting of the basic orders and calls for proposals, processing, approval, publication, preparation of documents for the Evaluation Committees, resolution, consultations and communications to the BDNS, subsequent review of the administrative documentation of the applications.
  • Evaluation of the legal-administrative documentation of proposals submitted to calls for proposals.
  • Preparation, attendance and drafting of the minutes of the Evaluation Committees.
  • Legal assistance and resolution of doubts in the technical areas regarding grants and subsidies or any other legal issues related to the calls for proposals.
  • Preparation of legal and administrative documents and forms related to calls for proposals.
  • Drafting of specifications, forms, models and definition of procedures related to calls for grants.
  • Coordination of the work of the Technical Assistants who report to the area.
  • Coordination and follow-up of the processing of aid reimbursements.
  • Coordination and processing of public contracting procedures related to the area with funds under management.
  • Planning the work of the area team.
  • Preparation of reports for the Sub-Directorate and Management.
  • Perform any additional relevant duties as requested or any other duties as entrusted by the Foundation’s Deputy and/or Management.
  • Bachelor’s or law degree.
  • Master’s degree or postgraduate and/or doctorate training.
  • Experience in team management.
  • Experience in legal advice or in the management of calls for proposals co-financed with public funds or European funds.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the public sector.

  • Teamwork: supports the people under his/her charge, supervises and assumes responsibility for delegated assignments.
  • Specific training in matters related to the activities to be performed: Law on Subsidies, Law on Foundations, Law 39 and 40/2015, among others.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the management and processing of applications for public grants and subsidies acquired in companies or public institutions and agencies.
  • Temporary fixed-term contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with coordinator category.
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Initially planned duration: until the end of 2029
  • Gross Annual Salary: 54.779,80 €.
