The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, has participated in the Conference “Creativity and Innovation: Green Jobs”, organized by the Paideia Foundation and the University of A Coruña Foundation (FUAC).
The objective of this conference is to promote competitiveness, innovation, the environment and sustainable development.
During the celebration of the conference, Sonia Castañeda pointed out that “to innovate is to do something completely new or in a different way”. Likewise, the director of the Biodiversity Foundation has presented some of the business initiatives awarded in the Red emprendeverde 2012 Awards of the Biodiversity Foundation: Susana Malón, from Lumínica Ambiental, (innovative initiative of systems with less light pollution for city councils); Alexandre Cendón, from Abella Lupa (organic honey production) and Alfonso Calderón, from Cenit Solar (renewable energy installations).
On the other hand, these conferences serve as a platform for the presentation of the MAPECREA Report (Support Methodology for Creative Entrepreneurs), whose objective is to study the importance of Creativity applied to business innovation. A project that includes a methodology to stimulate the creation of Creative Entrepreneurial Initiatives (IECs), which allows the identification of barriers and proposals for improvement through the University-Business relationship.
The conference is part of the collaboration agreement between the Paideia Foundation and the FUAC within the Creatinn territorial cooperation project.
