Last week, Silicon Valley hosted Cleantech Week 2012, organized by Open Innovation, a meeting for Spanish entrepreneurs in the clean technology sector in which the green initiatives that won in kind from the Red emprendeverde 2012 Awards, EffiPeople, Qilania, Enviroo and Kliux Energies, were present, as well as Gomavial, the winning company of the Cleantech Open Spain 2012.

During the visit, the entrepreneurs were able to attend the Cleantech Open Global Forum 2012, where Gomavial, winner of Cleantech Open Spain 2012 and Kliux Energy, selected for the quality of the project, became representatives of Spain and took the opportunity to present their entrepreneurial projects.

The aim of this event was to show these Spanish companies the cleantech sector in North America, while experiencing in situ the entrepreneurial environment that is being developed in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco area. In this way, the event allowed entrepreneurs to maintain contact and interact with potential customers, investors and other entrepreneurs with whom they could share ideas, advice and experiences. On the other hand, they took the opportunity to visit collaborative spaces such as Parsimona or various companies such as Liquid Robotics, YouNoodle, Lithium; research centers such as Berkley Lab and the offices of MIT Technology Review.
