The deadline for nominations for the Awards is 30 September 2011.
These awards, which have three categories, will be presented at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Jeju, Republic of Korea, from 6 to 15 September 2012.
The three awards are as follows:
Harold Jefferson Coolidge Memorial Medal
Established eight years ago, during the World Conservation Congress in Thailand, this award will be given to a conservation professional who has made outstanding contributions to the conservation of nature and natural resources.
Anyone can nominate someone for the Harold Jefferson Coolidge Medal
John C. Phillips Memorial Medal
The John C. Phillips Medal is awarded in recognition of outstanding service to international environmental conservation and commemorates the life and work of Dr. John C. Phillips, a pioneer of the environmental movement.
IUCN Members and members of IUCN Commissions are invited to submit nominations for the John C. Phillips Medal.
IUCN Honorary Membership
IUCN Honorary Membership recognises outstanding services to the conservation of nature and natural resources, and exceptional contributions to the achievement of the Union’s objectives.
IUCN Members and members of IUCN Commissions are invited to nominate candidates for IUCN Honorary Membership.
