The Secretary of State for Climate Change, Teresa Ribera, participates in the Global Eco Forum 2011 (GEF11), which is being held in Barcelona from 24 to 26 October, organised by Eco-Unión, a multidisciplinary non-profit organisation made up of citizens who are aware of the environment, and with the collaboration of the Biodiversity Foundation.
As part of the preparation of the Rio+ 20 Earth Summit, this fourth edition of the Global Eco Forum will be especially dedicated to the green economy and sustainability governance with an opening to the Mediterranean area, with the participation of prominent international speakers.
Through dialogues, workshops, micro-training courses, artistic manifestations and spaces for expression, the GEF11 aims to be a framework for information and exchange of experiences on the change of current economic models towards sustainability.
