The Biodiversity Foundation participates in the 5th Local Conama held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, from today until December 1.
This meeting, organised by the Conama Foundation and the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, aims to continue working on the reformulation of cities to transform them into more sustainable and habitable spaces. A change that can also serve to promote the transition to a new green economy and a higher quality of life, in a context of economic crisis such as the current one.
The 5th Local Conama is the first act of Vitoria-Gasteiz as European Green Capital 2012 and includes the holding of plenary sessions, round tables, workshops and technical conferences.
In this sense, the director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Ana Leiva, will moderate the plenary session “The European Green Capitals”, which will take place on Wednesday, December 1. This session will be attended by, among others, the mayor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Javier Maroto; the Secretary of State, Minister of Urban Development and Environment of Hamburg (Germany), Holger Lange, and the Head of Communication of the Directorate of Strategy of the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission, Robert Konrad.
