From 28 September to 7 October, the European Land Stewardship Week is celebrated. This is an action of the European Landlife project, a project supported by the European Commission that aims to communicate at European level the value of land stewardship to the general public, conservation entities, owners and other specific agents, as an effective and successful tool for the conservation of nature and biodiversity.

The following European organisations are participating in the Landlife project: the Xarxa de Custòdia del Territori, Legambiente, Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels du Languedoc-Rousillon, Eurosite and Prysma.

Land stewardship is a set of strategies and instruments that aim to involve the owners and users of the territory in the conservation and good use of natural, cultural and landscape values and resources. To achieve this, it promotes agreements and mechanisms for continuous collaboration between owners, custodian entities and other public and private agents

As part of the European Week, various events will be held throughout Europe. On the Land Life Week website, different events can be registered through a form.
