The Minister of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, Miguel Arias Cañete, has pointed out as one of the most important achievements of the Rio+20 Summit the universal recognition of the human right to water and sanitation, and has highlighted the “relevant” role that Spain has played in this recognition.
During his appearance before the Congressional Committee on Agriculture, Food and the Environment to present the conclusions of the United Nations summit on Sustainable Development, held in June in Brazil, the minister stressed that this recognition is a step forward “of which we are especially proud”.
