On 1 and 2 October, the MAVA Foundation organised a meeting of funding entities for projects related to the conservation of biodiversity, the sustainable use of natural resources and the strengthening of entities working for the conservation of the Mediterranean, at UNESCO headquarters in Venice, with the participation of the Director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda.
On 1 and 2 October, the MAVA Foundation organised a meeting of funding entities for projects related to the conservation of biodiversity, the sustainable use of natural resources and the strengthening of entities working for the conservation of the Mediterranean, at UNESCO headquarters in Venice, with the participation of the Director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda.
The objectives of this meeting were to find out what projects each of the entities are working on and what their target areas are, to try to join forces in investing in projects in the Mediterranean and explore the different forms of collaboration and alliances between the entities. This event was part of the presentation of the report “Trends in the Mediterranean Ecological Footprint”, by Global Footprint Network.
