The Minister of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs inaugurates CONAMA10

The Minister of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, Rosa Aguilar, inaugurates, on Monday, November 22, the tenth edition of the National Congress of the Environment, CONAMA10, which will be held at the Municipal Conference Center of Campo de las Naciones in Madrid from November 22 to 26.

Organized by the CONAMA Foundation, under the slogan “Now, more than ever”, CONAMA 10 brings together all the sectors of the country related to the environment, both social groups, companies and academics, as well as representatives of the different administrations, gathered with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of Spain.

During the five days of the congress, more than one hundred activities are planned, divided into the thematic areas of energy and climate change, economy, urban challenges, territory and rural development, biodiversity, water, environmental quality, technology and innovation, and society.

Heads of the MARM and the Biodiversity Foundation will discuss, through presentations and round tables, aspects such as energy and climate change, green employment deposits, sustainable rural development and territorial cohesion, the role of environmental education in the global-local relationship, and the participation of women in the sustainable development of rural areas.
