The Secretary of State for Climate Change, Teresa Ribera, has presented the PuntoClima bulletin, an informative summary of the progress of research on the phenomenon of global warming and the measures being taken in this field, as well as the latest multilateral negotiations with the horizon of the post-2012 agreement. The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Ana Leiva, also participated in the event.

Climate change is a complex issue that requires permanent updating by professionals and managers. Political decisions and scientific and technological advances follow one another at a dizzying pace and in various parts of the planet.

That is why today, on the eve of a future multilateral agreement that will set guidelines for a more sustainable development model, the Ministry of the Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs and the Biodiversity Foundation offer this new information tool.

With an agile format, the newsletter aims to provide a broad summary of fresh and innovative news from the field of politics and science, through the presentation of summaries and links to the sources of origin (popular science publications, national and foreign newspapers, supranational institutions and European bodies, among others). It is about offering a guide to the current situation of climate change on a website of websites.

PuntoClima, which is published weekly, will reach users via email, by free subscription, and will be accessible from the new website of the Biodiversity Foundation. This easy-to-access and open format is designed for professionals from the business, political and media worlds who wish to be aware of what is happening in the world around global warming.

All this will be possible from a living platform such as the new website of the Biodiversity Foundation, which aims to become a useful tool for work and communication: www.fundacionbiodiversidad.es has a new design and was born with the spirit of getting closer to citizens every day.
