The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, a public foundation of the Government of Spain, under the Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, Ana Leiva, and the institutional coordinator of the CSIC-Andalusia, Fernando Hiraldo, inaugurated today at the headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation in Seville the exhibition “Photospective, the diversity of a shared world”. It is a traveling exhibition that collects images taken in Europe, Asia, Africa and America, about nature and people.

“Fotospectiva, la diversidad de un mundo compartida” is a compilation of the extensive work of the naturalist and photographer Héctor Garrido. Images taken on four continents, scenarios in which the viewer becomes a unique witness of various races and cultures, some already extinct, elusive animal species and surprising landscapes. A global look at the immensity and complexity of the world.

The exhibition, organized by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), through the Doñana Biological Station (EBD), and which has the collaboration of the Biodiversity Foundation, will exhibit a meticulous selection of forty photographs printed in high quality and large format made in the different techniques that the author has been addressing throughout his career.

The photographs will be accompanied by brief texts, reflections or clarifications by the author on his original and innovative way of reading what is photographed. In addition, the media will be offered a projection of 250 photographs in continuous screening.

One website is operational for the media who wish to download images (http: //fotospectivaprensa.blogspot.com) and another so that visitors can interact with the exhibition, providing comments, sensations, personal experiences and even their own photographs (www.blublegum.net/hectorgarrido).

The headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation in Seville, located at Patio de Banderas 16, will host this exhibition from today until October 17. Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
