The Director of Training, Communication and Awareness of the Biodiversity Foundation, a public foundation of the Government of Spain, under the Ministry of the Environment, Rural and Marine Affairs, Julia Vera, has participated in the presentation of Agenda Viva Digital (www.agendaviva.es), a portal published by the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Foundation.

The paper version of Agenda Viva, which has been published since 2005 for the Community of Madrid, is a free quarterly magazine of scientific and environmental dissemination, which includes an agenda of institutions, events and activities aimed at both adults and children.

Thanks to the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, among other entities, the publication has made the leap to the digital world, which aims to give continuity to the printed edition, expanding its dissemination. Julia Vera stressed “the importance of conveying to society the importance of responsible consumption and sustainable development when it comes to caring for and recovering our natural heritage.”

The objective of this initiative is to make this portal a reference site where citizens can find “solutions to improve their quality of life and that of their environment,” according to the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Foundation.

To this end, the portal shows a practical agenda with a wide range of suggestions and activities related to science and the environment, as well as a directory of Green Pages with internet addresses to promote more sustainable consumption in areas such as food, personal care, leisure, shopping or childhood.

On the portal you can find all the issues of the journal published, in digital format, as well as search by words, topics or authors.

According to the general director of the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente Foundation, Odile Rodríguez, “we hope to demonstrate to citizens that their decisions in the personal sphere can contribute to creating new models of life. That a more conscious and responsible consumption can open the doors to better health, to a higher quality diet, to fun leisure proposals that do not have to cost more money and to a better management of resources”.
