Cristina Narbona has visited the Júcar-Turia Canal

The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, visited the Júcar-Turia canal this morning, and the works of “Improvement of the Drainage, Repair and Conditioning of the service road and accesses of the Júcar-Turia Canal”, which have just been completed. Later he met with the irrigation community in Carlet.

The works, which have been carried out by the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation and have had an investment of almost 8 million euros, allow an improvement of the transversal drainage network of the Júcar-Turia Canal, as well as the improvement of internal communications between the existing rural roads in the area, through the conditioning of the existing service road. They also lay the foundations for a future automation and control pipeline of the Júcar-Turia Canal.

In addition, the Ministry of the Environment will urgently undertake new actions on this infrastructure to improve the conditions of the Canal and guarantee its adequate maintenance.
