The Secretary General for the Prevention of Pollution and Climate Change, Arturo Gonzalo Aizpiri, participated yesterday in Barcelona, in the opening session of “Expo CO2 markets, financing and carbon funds”, an initiative on emissions trading in Spain organized by the Fundació Fòrum Ambiental and ACECMA (Catalan Association of Environmental Consulting Companies).

Expo CO2 aims to become a meeting point and international reference for the different actors involved in emissions markets and in the economic aspects that, directly or indirectly, arise from them, such as carbon funds.

Along with the Secretary General for the Prevention of Pollution and Climate Change, the Minister of Environment and Housing of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Francesc Baltasar, and the Director for Air and Chemical Products of the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission, Jos Delbeke, also participated in the inauguration.
