Cristina Narbona has inaugurated a conference on water and cooperation in Latin America

The Minister of the Environment, Cristina Narbona, inaugurated a conference in Brussels on water and cooperation in Latin America that will bring together, among others, the Ministers of the Environment of Portugal, Honduras, Guatemala, Bolivia and Brazil, and representatives of UNESCO-WAAP.

The conference, which under the title “Water and Cooperation in Latin America” is being held in the European Parliament, aims to articulate an effective line of aid and promote cooperation between the EU and Latin American countries in the field of water.

Members of the embassies of Latin American countries in Brussels (Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, etc.) will also participate in the conference, as well as the main Cooperation Agencies of the member states in Latin America, the National Water Institute of Portugal, the Research Center for New Water Technologies (CENTA) and specialized non-governmental organizations.

This is the first time that top representatives in the field of water from Latin American countries have come to the European Parliament to present their vision and needs in this area and ask for support and collaboration from this institution.
