The Cabildo de Gran Canaria begins the tour of the island of the exhibition of the Tamaran Project called: Obras de la Naturaleza S.A. With this travelling exhibition, the Ministry of Environment and Water of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, directed by José Jiménez Suárez, tries to raise awareness among the people of Gran Canaria about the natural values of the 20 most emblematic natural spaces on the island. This exhibition was inaugurated by the President of the Cabildo, José Manuel Soria, on January 20, on the Terrace Floor of the Las Arenas Shopping Center.

This original exhibition will represent these natural spaces as construction posters and in its quality report the natural values of each one are described, also trying to make visitors economically value those natural spaces built by NATURALEZA S.A.

The exhibition Obras de la Naturaleza S.A., will be open to the general public, which is definitive to whom it is intended to send the different awareness actions that are being developed based on the Tamarán Project: Gran Canaria, a path towards sustainability. This initiative carries out Environmental Education activities, where the natural riches of Gran Canaria are highlighted, and which are co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Biodiversity Foundation, institutions that seek development in relation to the natural environment.

In this sense, the Tamaran Project focuses on providing training and awareness to professionals by proposing that they incorporate environmental conservation measures as a strategic factor in business management. With these objectives, the Cabildo de Gran Canaria makes its environmental values known to the different professional sectors of the island, so that from their jobs they contribute to the development of increasingly sustainable economic activities.
