The Minister of the Environment together with Domingo Jiménez-Beltrán, founder of the Sustainability Observatory in Spain and former director of the European Environment Agency present “The State of the World 2006”, published by the Worldwatch Institute.

This report offers a global vision that presents the advances, setbacks and opportunities that affect the social and environmental objectives of the population around the world. The events highlighted have been selected to increase society’s awareness of the connections between the environment and people.

The Spanish version (co-edited by FUHEM and Icaria) offers two exclusive chapters on corporate social responsibility and the Spanish experience within the framework of the European Union by Cecilia Carballo and Domingo Jiménez-Beltrán respectively.
