The City Council of Villaviciosa de Odón, the College of Forestry Engineers and the Biodiversity Foundation, have developed the conference “Planting Life: Planting Trees with primary school children”, which is part of the BOSCALIA 2005-2006 Program of activities.

The planting took place today at 10:30 a.m. in Villaviciosa de Odón (in the green area located on the corner of Ventura Rodríguez Street and Castilla Avenue). The objective of this day was to teach children how to prepare a tree to be able to plant it, how it has to be carried out and how to take care of it. The children have taken the plant out of the pot with a root ball, placed them and covered them with soil to then proceed to their first watering.

With this awareness-raising action, the children have seen that with their effort a plant survives, and with the collective effort they will also have created an entire garden.
