The Biodiversity Foundation has participated in the Green Entrepreneurs Weekend, Greenweekend in support of the culture of entrepreneurship and the creation and consolidation of business initiatives in the field of the green economy.

The meeting, organised by Enviroo from 4 to 6 April in Madrid, was attended by mentors, advisors, green entrepreneurs and professionals who are committed to the creation of innovative business initiatives or are looking for new business models.

All of them have exchanged experiences in this initiative that aims to contribute to the improvement of the skills of professionals who carry out economic activities linked to the environment and promote work methodologies based on shared knowledge.

In this second edition of Greenweekend, the Biodiversity Foundation has raffled two places to attend the event among the applications received from the members of the Emprendeverde Network.

During the weekend, the participating entrepreneurs developed their ideas with the help of mentors and various training sessions. In addition, they were able to validate their business ideas with real customers and investors through a crowdfunding platform.

The Biodiversity Foundation was part of the jury that selected the finalists of the most voted initiatives of this edition of the Greenweekend. The first prize went to the EIIR Motors project, an eco-friendly van designed by Eliseo Spain that will run on compressed air. The entrepreneur Víctor Rodríguez won second prize for his T-Kount project, which allows you to calculate the consumption of all appliances in the office or home.

Finally, the third prize went to Cosmegreen, a website of natural cosmetics products developed by Gaby Leza. The winners have received various prizes to continue launching their initiatives.
