The Emprendeverde Network has completed its first 5 years of life in April, in which it has served the more than 7,600 entrepreneurs who currently make up this pioneering platform specialising in green business.
The Network, a project of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, was created in April 2011 with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs interested in the green economy who are offered general or specialized training and free advice on issues such as the preparation of business plans, incorporation of new lines of business linked to the environment, specific information on environmental issues, eco-innovation and sustainability and financing and investment channels.
Throughout these 5 years it has become the first platform specialized in green business aimed at entrepreneurs and investors. Among the free services offered by the Network to its more than 7,600 members are the “Green Investment Forums”, organized in collaboration with entities such as the Spanish Association of Business Angels (AEBAN), the IESE Business School and Keiretsu Forum. In the 3 Investment Forums held so far, more than 20 entrepreneurs have presented their initiatives to 70 investors.
We have also held two editions of the Emprendeverde Network Awards, to which 455 candidates applied. The 54 award-winning entrepreneurship projects represent more than 18 economic sectors linked to the environment.
12 Emprendeverde meetings in which nearly 600 entrepreneurs have participated, four training programs for 77 green entrepreneurs or two mentoring programs in which 10 green entrepreneurs have participated, carried out with the collaboration of organizations such as Emprende Capital and Spain StartUp, are some of the most outstanding free services offered by the Emprendeverde Network in these first 5 years.
