The annual conference of EVPA, an association that brings together investors, foundations and companies that support initiatives and entities that support social investment throughout Europe, was held at the Casa de América in Madrid on December 1 and 2.
The conference, which brings together around 500 delegates annually, has brought together social investors, representatives of foundations, organisations, advisory firms, banks, investors, academic institutions and selected social entrepreneurs. Prestigious experts and professionals have been in charge of conducting the different panels, round tables and debates.
The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Sonia Castañeda, participated in the table “From tapas to El Bulli: a recipe for the future”, in which Pablo Esteves, director of Corporate Services at Emzingo; Xavi Pont, co-founder of Ship2B, and Alfred Vernis, executive director of ESADE, and which was moderated by Francisco Soler, Investment Director of CREAS. The table discussed the social economy: the current situation in Spain and Europe, the interest of investors and future prospects.
Since its creation in 2004, EVPA has held its annual conference, an event that brings together actors and agents of social investment from all over Europe.
