The Biodiversity Foundation participates in the “Speaker’s Corner: ideas for entrepreneurship and the urban green economy”, which is held in Madrid and is an opportunity to learn about the good environmental practices carried out by green entrepreneurs. The event is organised by IFEMA in collaboration with the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment.
In total, 14 projects by entrepreneurs from the Emprendeverde Network have presented their initiatives and explained how their ideas help to improve the sustainability of cities. Among them were representatives of the online platform Ciclogreen, the AquaReturn water-saving appliances or the electric car battery recycling company Bluelife Battery. On behalf of the Biodiversity Foundation, an initial presentation of the session was made in which the main lines of work of the empleaverde Programme and the Emprendeverde Network, both co-financed by the European Social Fund, were detailed.
The Speaker’s Corner is part of the Cities Forum that is being held between June 15 and 17 in Madrid. An event that has representatives of organizations and companies, public and private, related to the design, planning and management of cities. In total , 14 discussion tables, nearly 30 presentations by experts and more than 50 innovation, participation and urban entrepreneurship projects are presented. They are attended by representatives of some thirty Spanish cities and a dozen from the American continent.
The event takes place within the framework of the second Sustainable Environmental Solutions Forum, which includes the 18th International Urban Planning and Environment Fair, and the 5th International Recovery and Recycling Fair.
