The Biodiversity Foundation attends “Imperdible_01”, an event organized by the Cotec Foundation, which celebrates its Innovation Day for the first time in 2016. At this event, which was attended by His Majesties King Felipe II, honorary president of Cotec, the “Cotec Report 2016” was presented, which offers an analysis of the situation of innovation in Spain and its position with respect to reference countries.
The contents of this report open up new priority areas for Cotec, such as project financing or social innovation. “Imperdible_01” is made in collaboration with Sónar+D, the International Congress of Digital Culture and Creative Cultures. All this is being developed in La Nave (former Boetticher factory) in the Villaverde district, in Madrid.
The day is divided into two events, the morning with the presentation of the report, and the afternoon, open to the public from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. In the space you can enjoy a MarketLab with a selection of 12 projects from companies, scientific research centers and digital creation laboratories.
The environment is present in this MarketLab hand in hand with initiatives related to citizen science or open technologies. Projects that study light pollution through photos taken from the International Station or technologies to capture data on birds and other animals, are some of the proposals presented at Cotec’s MarketLab.
