We have participated in this festival with an artistic experience, within the framework of the LIFE IP INTEMARES project, to highlight the benefits of the ocean and act against one of the greatest threats to our seas, marine pollution.

His Majesty the King has attended Cotec’s innovation festival, #Imperdible_04, which is being held in the La Nave space, located in the Madrid district of Villaverde. The fourth installment of this meeting is dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on the importance of innovation to achieve them.

From the Biodiversity Foundation we have participated in this festival with an artistic experience, within the framework of the LIFE IP INTEMARES project, together with the artist Ida-Marie Corell and the Basurama collective to value the benefits of the ocean and act against one of the greatest threats to our seas, marine pollution.

The staging has started with a dress made with more than 350 blue and white bags, in whose production high school students from Madrid have collaborated. The artist Ida-Marie Corell has dressed the piece and recited the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in a performance framed in the Plastic Oceans initiative, which brings together music, sound, art and knowledge transfer in the fields of sustainability and culture.

In our space, visitors have also been able to leave their commitments to help the ocean and learn how the LIFE IP INTEMARES project contributes to the protection of underwater life, through the conservation of species and habitats, actions to reduce and raise awareness about marine litter and beach cleaning, as well as the implementation of processes to reduce and raise awareness about marine litter and beach clean-ups.
