We meet with scientific societies

Share on:

Today our headquarters hosted the annual meeting with the Scientific Societies, with which since 2016 we have maintained a channel of communication and collaboration for the exchange of information and knowledge with all those interested in working together in the conservation of biological and geological diversity in Spain.

The meeting reviewed the synergistic activity that has been developed, new proposals for collaboration, especially in the field of adaptation to climate change, the dissemination of scientific congresses or the promotion of Spanish scientific journals, whose sponsorship by the FB throughout 2017 has been highly valued.

It has been agreed to create, at the proposal of the Spanish Ornithological Society (SEO/Birdlife), a specific group to work together on citizen science.

The societies attending this meeting were: Spanish Association of Terrestrial Ecology, Spanish Herpetological Association, Iberian Association of Limnology, Association of Oceanographs of Galicia, Spanish Society of Biology and Conservation of Plants, Spanish Society for the Conservation and Study of Mammals, Spanish Society of Ethology and Evolutionary Ecology, Spanish Society of Geobotany, Spanish Society of Ornithology, Iberian Society of Ichthyology, Spanish Society of Forest Sciences, Spanish Society for the Study of Pastures, Spanish Association of Entomology, Geological Society of Spain and the Spanish Society of Malacology.
