The Biodiversity Foundation has brought together a hundred people interested in the circular economy during the celebration of the Green Circular Days.
The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has brought together a hundred people interested in the circular economy at its headquarters in Madrid during the celebration of the Green Circular Days, in which circular business models have been promoted among the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
During these two days, a hundred experts and entrepreneurs, who are committed to circular business models, have highlighted the opportunities and potential offered by the circular economy to carry out an ecological and fair transition.
This event included a session on “Advances, challenges and challenges in the circular economy” by Jesús Martínez Linares, vice president of Circular Economy and Climate Change at the Inspiring Committed Leaders Foundation (ICLF) who stressed that “we have to generate models that do not stop development but do stop the environmental impact” and encouraged “changing technology knowing that green is profitable, we must transform society from science”.
Green Circular Days has been carried out under the umbrella of the Emprendeverde Network, the largest green entrepreneurship community in Spain, to which more than 9,300 people already belong and whose objective is to support the creation and consolidation of new companies that contribute to promoting a fair ecological transition.
This third edition has focused on more practical activities divided into four thematic blocks where interested people have selected their participation: financing and investment in circular economy, eco-innovation and eco-design, communication and marketing in circular economy and successes and failures of circular ventures with a positive environmental impact.
In addition, the conference focused on the 20 projects participating in the Circular Economy Entrepreneurship Lab, a training and support action where all the theoretical and practical aspects to develop more circular business models have been identified.
The event, co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Empleaverde Programme, has been broadcast via streaming and is available online on the Youtube profile of the Biodiversity Foundation.
