The Biodiversity Foundation, through the Emprendeverde Network (REV), organizes the Green Entrepreneurship Week from April 19 to 22, in which nine interesting activities will be carried out.This initiative, which is part of the actions of the Empleaverde Programme, takes place on the occasion of the recent celebration of World Entrepreneurship Day, in which every 16 April those with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit are recognised.
The terms related to innovation and entrepreneurship are closely related; while the first develops significant improvements in a field, the second refers to the action of starting new entrepreneurial projects. In this context, many activities related to entrepreneurship are also innovative, characteristics that, through this proposal, Some sustainable and innovative ventures will be highlighted.
During this week, different activities will be carried out (webinars, masterclasses or training pills) with the aim of highlighting the importance of green entrepreneurship in green recovery, in the conservation of biodiversity and in a just ecological transition. In addition, the projects and actions to support entrepreneurs that are currently being developed within the framework of the Empleaverde Programme and the Emprendeverde Network, initiatives co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF), will be announced. Likewise, other inspiring experiences of the green entrepreneurship ecosystem will be made visible.
The nine activities that make up this Green Entrepreneurship Week are free, online and open with the aim of helping those who want to develop an entrepreneurship project.
Tomorrow, April 19, at 2:30 p.m., “Inspiring experiences of circular economy and awareness entrepreneurship” will take place, a session organized by Basq Company and We Are All Recycling, which will provide information on the challenges, tools and key elements for undertaking projects with a green impact in the circular economy sector. Finally, at 5:00 p.m., the activity “Trademark Registration Process” will begin in order to present the bases of this registration process.
On April 20 at 11:00 a.m. it will be the turn of “Entrepreneurship in sustainable food and agroecology“, a meeting where different success stories of entrepreneurship in this sector will be presented, such as Macabeo Supermarkets. At 4:00 p.m. the “Presentation and introduction to the project Training Plan for the creation of green companies in the agricultural sector” will take place, an activity carried out by the Galpagro Integrated Production Association (API BALAM) within the framework of the project “Training plan for the creation of green companies in the agricultural sector” co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Biodiversity Foundation.
Likewise, on April 21 at 11:00 a.m., the session “How to finance green projects?”, a masterclass within the framework of the Entrepreneurship Mentoring that aims to publicize the different financing options for environmental projects and the aspects to be considered in each of them. For its part, at 12:30 p.m., the webinar “Entrepreneurship as an opportunity to fix population in rural areas” begins, an activity organized by MenorcaLab focused on the different ways to undertake in rural areas and within the framework of the project (R)HUB Rural Network Rural Entrepreneurship Program, co-financed by the ESF and the Biodiversity Foundation. Then, in the afternoon, at 5:00 p.m. “How to make viable projects“, an activity in which the MenorcaLab entity will tell the main guidelines to follow to reduce the financial risk of failure.
The Green Entrepreneurship Week will end on April 22, at 11:00 a.m., with ” The bioterritorial perspective in entrepreneurship“, a session organized by Germinando Iniciativas Socioambientales within the framework of the Engrana project in which aspects related to entrepreneurship in the agri-food sector will be addressed. Then, at 12:30 p.m., “Eco-innovation as a strategic basis in the competitive advantage of rural companies” will begin, a session given by the Association of Young Entrepreneurs (AJE) of Castilla-La Mancha within its project Ecologically based entrepreneurship in rural areas and protected natural areas, co-financed by the ESF and the Biodiversity Foundation, in which the importance of understanding competitive advantage, its applicability in the post-COVID 19 economy and eco-innovation as one of the main resources in environmental and rural entrepreneurship will be presented.
