The Emprendeverde Network (REV), an initiative coordinated by the MITECO Biodiversity Foundation, has received, during the celebration of Sustainability Day 2022, one of the recognitions granted by CompromisoRSE for its work and trajectory when it comes to promoting entrepreneurship and actions related to the green economy. The event, which took place at the Reina Sofía Museum, also awarded various public administration entities, foundations, NGOs, educational centres and companies and served as a meeting point to highlight the actions of the private sector in the field of sustainability.

The director of the Biodiversity Foundation, Elena Pita, was in charge of collecting the award, which is in recognition of this platform that facilitates the implementation of green entrepreneurship projects through free services aimed at entrepreneurs. The Emprendeverde Network already has more than 10,500 members, after almost 12 years of existence, and more than 5,000 entrepreneurs with a green business idea have enjoyed its 85 actions to date. Currently the ReV has more than 100,000 followers on Social Networks.

The Emprendeverde Network is a project of the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge that, since 2011, has promoted the creation and consolidation of new sustainable companies. It has a community of more than 10,500 green entrepreneurs whom it supports to create their new companies with innovative specialised services such as training itineraries, personalised support, mentoring and technical advice.

The REV is co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Empleaverde Programme, which aims to promote employment and green entrepreneurship.
