Promote the restoration of river ecosystems in urban environments, and adaptation and mitigation to flood risk, through Nature-Based Solutions.
Manage and monitor projects and calls for aid with actions aimed at the restoration of river ecosystems and the adaptation and mitigation of flood risk in urban environments using Nature-Based Solutions, in the context of the National Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience, “Next Generation EU”.

  • To carry out the technical and economic follow-up of the execution, justification, liquidation and payment of the projects and the call for proposals. Define documents, models and indicators for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation associated with projects and calls for proposals in the field of river restoration and flood risk management.
  • Evaluate the proposals submitted.
  • To train, accompany and assist the applicant and beneficiary entities during the presentation, execution, justification and settlement of the projects.
  • Participate in the organization and attend meetings, events and training related to the Area’s activity.
  • Prepare and design proposals for action to meet the objectives of the Foundation’s Cities Area and for the better performance of the tasks of execution, evaluation, monitoring and control of the projects.
  • To monitor developments in regulations, strategies, plans, programs and projects related to the Area and its activities: identification of best practices and activities, preparation of speeches and presentations, participation in publications, etc.
  • To support the control and auditing processes of the activities developed.
  • Prepare documentation and information reports on projects and procurements (databases, reports, presentations, graphic material, notifications, etc.).
  • Any other function entrusted by the Heads, Coordination, Subdirection and/or Direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • Experience of at least three years in the management of river space planning and/or mitigation-adaptation projects of flood risk and/or restoration of river ecosystems and/or hydrological planning.
  • Experience in the study and application of Nature-Based Solutions as a tool for the restoration of river environments and flood risk reduction.
  • Proven ability for the solvent handling of GIS.
  • Experience in the management of calls for proposals and public funds linked to the environment.
  • Ability and criteria for the writing and organization of document contents.
  • English medium proficiency (B2 level or equivalent).
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of TECHNICIAN
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €26,340.22.
  • Maximum expected duration: maximum until 12/31/2026.
  • Expected incorporation date: March 2023.
