MITECO

The main objective of this initiative is the promotion and creation of employment in the areas of the Natura 2000 Network and Biosphere Reserves of Extremadura, Andalusia and Asturias, as well as the increase in the qualification of workers in environmental and sustainability issues.

This initiative seeks to contribute to:

  • The training and training of SME workers and the self-employed so that they can update and improve their skills and qualifications.
  • Raising awareness through information from the business fabric on appropriate environmental practices.
  • The use of new technologies as a pedagogical and information tool.
  • Knowledge of the National R+D+i Plan and its environmental lines, in order to promote a highly competitive business fabric
  • To promote employment linked to new sources of employment.

The recipients of this project are:

-Workers of SMEs and micro-SMEs and self-employed workers.

-Workers located in the Protected Areas of the Natura 2000 Network and in the Biosphere Reserves of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, Andalusia and Asturias.

Within these recipients, the project focuses mainly on women, the disabled, immigrants, people over 45 years of age and low-skilled workers.

The project aims to achieve the training of 300 recipients, although the project will reach a total of 2,400 workers, and the creation of 10 companies related to the rural environment.
