The proposal presents a strategy for the development of a model agreed between the agents of the territory and those who influence its management, compatible with the use of livestock routes by livestock.

This management model, which will be implemented in natural areas of Cantabria and the Community of Madrid, will integrate both the maintenance of local knowledge, innovations and practices, as well as the preservation of ecosystems and their biodiversity, as well as the economic viability of the sector in the study areas. This will lead to the revaluation and revitalization of its use as one of the potential sources of economic activity in these territories.

To this end, different participatory processes (interviews and workshops) will be developed in the municipalities located in the surroundings of the study area. From these processes will emerge a participatory strategy for the revitalization of the use of traditional cattle routes in natural spaces, which will be disseminated to the competent administrations, in order to publicize the results.
