This project aims to strengthen the inclusion of biodiversity in business management and the private sector at the local level, through the training of workers from SMEs, micro-SMEs and the self-employed.
This is intended to improve the scope of corporate social responsibility in terms of reporting and offsetting the impacts of their activities on biodiversity and ecosystems. It also seeks to improve workers’ awareness and understanding of its procedures in relation to biodiversity, impacts and opportunities.
The project proposes the development of an in-depth study on the relationship between business and biodiversity in Spain and the practical application of its results for the sectoral integration of biodiversity into environmental management systems. This initiative will be carried out through a participatory process, together with company workers and auditors/certifying bodies of environmental management systems.
In addition, the project includes eleven training workshops aimed at training workers, as well as personalized advice.
