The aim of the project is to apply the land stewardship approach to the conservation of the Iberian imperial eagle. To this end, landowners, administrations and the population that coexists with the species will be involved in the conservation of natural values.
It is necessary to involve the municipalities of the Iberian imperial eagle’s distribution area and private land owners to improve the habitat of the species, achieve the sustainable use of natural resources and eliminate threats to its survival.
The planned actions are:
- To disseminate knowledge about the Iberian imperial eagle among society in general and, in particular, among the school population, promoting respectful attitudes towards its conservation, through training activities and workshops.
- Collaborate with public administrations to implement recovery plans for the species.
- Disseminate all the actions through a communication campaign.
- Create a database and a specific website of the Network of Municipalities for the Imperial Eagle.
