The aim is to facilitate the process of implementing photovoltaic solar energy installations on land recovered from closed landfills and on the roofs of industrial waste treatment facilities, in the Basque Country.

The project aims to deploy a series of actions aimed at training workers in the waste management and environmental engineering services sectors, aimed at the integration of photovoltaic solar energy production equipment within their facilities and the management of these solar installations as part of their professional activity.

The key points of the project are:

  • Increased use of land, by giving a second use to areas already occupied.
  • Progress towards a sustainable development project.
  • Electricity production from renewable sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
