The main objective of the project is to study, mark, signpost and enhance the value of the set of Roman pipelines in the region of Mérida through their signage and the design of hiking routes that run through them.

The main objective of the project is to study, mark, signpost and enhance the value of the set of Roman pipelines in the region of Mérida through their signage and the design of hiking routes that run through them.

More specifically, it is intended to:

  • Study and mark on the map the remains of Roman canals in the surroundings of Mérida.
  • Create and mark hiking routes.
  • Edit and publish maps and routes in digital format.

The specific actions planned are:

  • Study and detailed location of the remains of Roman conduits.
  • Editing a map of the location of the identified remains.
  • Creation of hiking trails along public paths that connect the different Roman remains.
  • Signposting of hiking routes.
  • Publication of a map with Roman routes and remains and its publication and distribution.
