Zaragoza hosts from 24 to 27 November 2009 the celebration of the Third National Congress on Invasive Alien Species.
The objective is to develop recommendations aimed at preventing new introductions of exotic species, in addition to reducing the negative impact that their presence causes on native biodiversity throughout the national territory. Concrete proposals for the implementation of the National Catalog on Invasive Alien Species will also be advanced.
It is a forum that serves as a meeting point for academia, public administration, NGOs, the business sector and citizens.
The event, which is also promoted by the College of Biologists of Aragon, consists of scientific communications, presentations, working groups and round tables.
