The initiative aims to make the resources and capacities of the Autonomous University of Madrid available to social integration companies in the field of entrepreneurship and the environment.

This contributes to its mission of facilitating the labour insertion of its workers, improving their skills and qualifications in environmental and sustainability issues, and promoting the creation of new insertion companies in sectors linked to the environment.

The fulfilment of this general objective involves integrating transversal knowledge, such as that relating to the promotion of entrepreneurship, with vertical knowledge related to sectors linked to the environment, in order to provide a specialised range of services to support the creation and consolidation of companies in sectors linked to the environment.

It also involves establishing synergistic relationships with insertion companies (EIs) and their promoters, so that, with a triple helix model, university, administration and private initiative, the labor insertion of people at risk of exclusion is achieved, while contributing to the care of the environment.

Working with insertion companies with the triple objective of improving the competitiveness of existing ones, reorienting those working in sectors in crisis and promoting entrepreneurship as a possibility of labor insertion implies acting with the following types of beneficiaries:

• Managers of integration companies linked to the environment (gardening, recycling, organic farming and forest maintenance).
• Permanent employees (non-insertion) of insertion companies linked to the environment.
• Insertion workers of integration companies linked to the environment.
• Managers of insertion companies working in other sectors, especially construction, and who wish to reorient their activity.
• Permanent employees (not insertion) of insertion companies in other sectors, especially construction.
• Insertion workers in insertion companies in other sectors, especially construction.
