The main objective of the project is to contribute to the drafting of the Conservation Plan of the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve.

The main objective of the project is to contribute to the drafting of the Conservation Plan of the Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve.

It has also sought to contribute to the project “Quality standard in conservation management”, led by the Conservation group of EUROPARC-Spain.

It includes the following actions:

• Compilation and updating of the ecological information of the park, its integration into a geographic information system, its analysis and its evaluation. This is information on habitats, communities, plant species, key faunal taxa and exploitation of key resources.
• Generation of predictive cartography for the determination of critical conservation areas and the identification of their threats or opportunities in order to define priorities for action.
• Drafting of the Conservation Plan, including existing sectoral plans, defining specific objectives, establishing guidelines for the areas of the park, defining an action plan and management, monitoring and evaluation programmes; and promoting its technical, social and pedagogical dissemination
