The purpose of the project is to develop a sustainable physical planning, whose purpose is the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable development of local populations.

The purpose of the project is to develop a sustainable physical planning, whose purpose is the conservation of biodiversity and the sustainable development of local populations.

More specifically, it is intended to use an agroforestry cocoa plantation as a pilot production experience, based on criteria of rural development, sustainable use, creation of local employment and conservation of sensitive areas. To this end, a study of the physical environment and the fragility and capacity of the soil to accommodate a certain type of activity will be carried out.

The plantation will also be zoned according to a certain type of activity, including the cocoa plantation itself and the repopulation of native forest species that can provide shade to the cocoa plants.

Ecotourism activities will be proposed in areas of low fragility. In the case of the areas of virgin forest that are still preserved, they are considered reserve areas, while those degraded on a low scale will be considered for restoration.
