This project aims to preserve biodiversity in the areas of the El Valle-Carrascoy Natural Park and in the area of the Zepa Monte El Valle and Sierras de Altaona and Escalona, in Murcia.
This project aims to preserve biodiversity in the areas of the El Valle-Carrascoy Natural Park and in the area of the Zepa Monte El Valle and Sierras de Altaona and Escalona, in Murcia.
More specifically, it is intended to:
- Catalogue the exotic invasive species in these spaces.
- Create a distribution map of invasive alien species.
- To study the impact of these species on the ecosystem.
- To raise awareness among the population about the danger of these species.
The specific actions of this initiative will be:
- Prospection, search and cataloguing of invasive exotic flora and fauna species.
- Cartography of catalogued exotic species.
- Cataloguing of the impacts and nuisances they cause in habitats.
- Publication of a publication that includes the dangers and the actions to be taken to prevent this threat.
- Preparation of environmental education documents.
- Organization of an environmental awareness campaign through talks and conferences.
