The project is aimed at reducing the negative impacts on the environment of Extremadura companies belonging to the agri-food sector and achieving a more efficient and responsible use of energy resources.
This project seeks to contribute to the education and training of managers and workers of SMEs and the self-employed so that they can update and improve their skills; to raise awareness through information from the business fabric on appropriate environmental practices; the use of new technologies as a pedagogical and information tool; the promotion of energy saving and efficient use and the promotion of renewable energies; to the knowledge of the National R+D+i Plan and its environmental lines and to the promotion of employment linked to the new sources of employment of renewable energies, as well as self-employment for rural women.
A complete diagnosis of companies in the agri-food sector in Extremadura is planned in order to know the state of the techniques used to minimise environmental impact and to propose a series of recommendations that favour sustainable development. In addition, it seeks to promote continuous training and awareness of managers and workers of SMEs and the self-employed in energy matters.
