The project aims to strengthen the capacity of local agents in the Greater Cantabrian Sea and, specifically, the Los Argüellos Biosphere Reserve, in the province of León.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of local agents in the Greater Cantabrian Sea and, specifically, the Los Argüellos Biosphere Reserve, in the province of León.

The axes of the project include the creation of the managing body of the Biosphere Reserve, the implementation of a technical office and the promotion of knowledge of the Reserve and the MaB Programme in its territory.

Two small conservation projects must also be developed, one linked to the SCI Montaña Central de León and the other in the caves as a habitat for certain bats.

Finally, the project aims to serve as a driving force for the collaborative relationships of the different units that make up the Greater Cantabrian Sea.
