The project aims to conserve and revalue biodiversity in the territorial area of the Arribes del Duero in Salamanca, through the recovery of traditional uses and cultural landscapes.

The project aims to conserve and revalue biodiversity in the territorial area of the Arribes del Duero in Salamanca, through the recovery of traditional uses and cultural landscapes.

The aim is to influence the recovery of land management models that integrate natural systems with other sustainable agricultural and forestry systems, through an agroecological approach. The overall objectives are the conservation of the biological diversity of the region through models of sustainable management of natural resources, as well as the awareness of the population about the value of biodiversity and the traditional knowledge associated with its sustainable use.

More specifically, it is intended to:

• To study the natural heritage of the region in terms of its biological diversity and traditional knowledge.
• Conserve in situ and ex situ collected phylogenetic material and catalogue traditional knowledge associated with the sustainable use of local natural resources.
• To raise awareness among the population about the conservation of biodiversity and its potential as a resource for sustainable local economic initiatives.
